There are all the Saiyajin levels

|
SSJ level 1
This stage was first reached by Goku in movie #6 as he fought Lord Slug. He didn't appear to be a Super Saiyan then, since his hair had a black tinge to it. Officially, Goku went SSJ1 for the first time in the Freeza Saga, after Freeza killed Krillen.
Physical description: Incredibilly increased muscle mass, and his hair turns Goldish/Yellow and stands up.
*Note* A Saiya-jin is always born with a tail. As long as he keeps his tail, he can turn into a Oozaru (Giant Ape) with a Full Moon.
People who reached level: Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta and Borli (movie 8,10,11)

SSJ level 1 1/2
This stage was reached only by future Trunks during the cell saga. He achieved it whail training in the room of spitit and time (aka. Hyperbolic time chamber)
Physical Description: Hair is sharper, greatly increased mucle mass speed much slower. |
SSJ level 2
Gohan was the first to reach this level during the cell games he was fighting cell when Goku told cell that Gohan had a hidden power when he was a baby and to make him angry. That will unlock Gohan's power. Cell wanting a challange created little Cells and they were almost as strong as cell. They easily defeated the Z fighters. And #16's head was cut off. #16 then pleaded with Mr. Satin (aka. Hercule) to bring his head to Gohan so he could speak with him. After much hesitation Mr satin threw #16's head to Gohan. #16 told gohan to protect the nature that he loves so much. Then cell crushed his head and that made Gohan angry enough to transform to SSJ2.
Physical description: Alot greater muscle mass than SSJ1, and a few more inches of blond hair also pointing up. Occasionally accompanied by zapping silver lightning (which happens everyonce in a while)
People who reached level: Gohan, Goku, Vegeta Gotenks(the fusion of Goten and Trunks) |

SSJ level 3
Gokou first achieved this level during a fight with Majin Buu. Majin Buu could overpower SSJ3 Gokou, but this level did destroy Fat Janenba in movie #12. SSJ3 was also used in Dragon Ball GT, but Goku couldn't hold it due to his little body's lack of strength, although he does reach Super-Saiyan Level 4. But this level also uses alot of power and living beings cant hold the level for long it is really ment to be used in the after life.
Physical Description: Goku's physical appearance is more lean and menacing looking, with about 4 and half feet of flowing blond hair and a larger muscle mass. Also in this form the Saiyan-jin is Very Quick and Fast.
*Note* Only Goku and Gotenks have achieved this level. No other Saiyan's have achived it, but others have gone past this level (Vegita goes SSJ4).

SSJ level 4
This actually is not a SSJ level, seeing that Goku and Vegita don't have blond hair and they do have increased muscle mass. I don't believe this is a SSJ level, and others agree. This is also the only stage requiring a tail. In SSJ4, Goku is almost god-like, and he can use "Times 10 Kame-hame-ha." or "Ultimate Kame-hama-ha."
Physical description: Although Gokou was wished by the Dragon Balls to become a child again, in SSJ4 form, he has his normal adult body with a bit more muscle mass. His upper torso is covered in redish/brown fur, his hair is black, and his eyes are red rimmed.
People who reached level: Goku, Vegeta, (some people believe that Gohan has reached this level to and i have seen a picture but i believe that it is counterfit)

SSJ level 5
This stage was reached in Dragon Ball AF (I haven't seen it yet and i haven't seen AF so i can't say anything) |
Ozaru
When a Saiyan stares at a full moon, he/she will change into a 45-foot tall, monsterous monkey or grollia called a Were-monkey (Ozaru, in Japanese, translates to "Big Monkey). This is possibly the most powerful level under SSJ3. All Saiyan (excluding Goku and Gohan) will be able to control themselves during this stage (although in Dragonball GT, it is implied that Vegeta couldn't control himself in Ozaru form, but Babie could.) It doesn't matter which full moon they look at (in Dragonball GT, Goku turned Oozaru by looking at the full Earth from Space. And, Vegeta had the ability to create a pocket-sized full moon when he first arrived on Earth to fight Goku and Gohan that made him turn into the Ozaru.)
*Note* A Saiyan must have a tail to be able to turn Ozaru. If the tail is cut off, they revert to normal. If the tail is pulled out by the roots, the Saiyan will not turn Ozaru ever again unless wished back by the Dragon.

A level that was achieved by Goku and Bedi-Vegeta in Dragon Ball GT. This is the most powerful form of Oozaru, actually, the most powerful of all stages that a Saiyan-jin can achieve, demonstrated by Goku in DBGT episodes 38-40, when he swatted Bedi-Vegeta all over Planet Plant (Bedi's recreation of the Tsufuru home planet.) The main physical difference with this Ozaru stage, is that the fur is golden instead of brown. Also before Planet Vegita was taken over by the Saiyans, it was also called "Planet Plant", of coarse before renamed to Planet Vegita ... Sorry, I had to tell you. |
Normal Saiyan
This is the normal form of a saiyan. the hair is black and they have a tail(unless removed) This is the weakest form of a saiyan. |
